Description:
FreedPaging is our waiting list/guest paging application. Rather than using costly pager systems, our application is setup to utilize your customers' cell phones for notification. You enter all the necessary information for a party, and then either add them to the end of the wait list or store the information as a reservation. The system provides estimated wait times, tracks how long a customer has been waiting and allows bumping of guests (priority, no shows, etc.). When a party is close to being seated, their cell phone number is displayed for a host staff member to call.
The real benefit of FreedPaging comes when used in conjunction with FreedSeating, our table management application. These two applications talk to each other over the network or on the same FreedBox. As a table's status changes, the appropriate party in the list is assigned to the table automatically. Keep your host staff up front with the customers, not wandering around looking for forgotten tables.

No More Guessing:
You know the questions:
- "What's the wait?"
- "I've been waiting for an hour and half. You quoted me 45 minutes, didn't you?"
- "Yes, I'm looking for my party. I have their name...oh, they didn't leave their name?"
- "Why can't we sit at that table over there that's been empty for 20 minutes?"
- "What do you mean I have to wait for your manager? Why can't you tell me how long a party of 12 will take to be seated?"
Imagine never having to calculate wait times. Imagine the average wait times for various party sizes, constantly updated and available. Imagine knowing the names of each party at each table.
There's no longer a need to imagine. Just buy our systems, and let us bring that imagination to life.

No Pagers Necessary:
We acknowledge that on-site pagers were great in their day. However, like all good things, their day has ended. These are the problems we see:
Basic setups can run in the thousands; That's a bit stiff for technology that's more than a decade old, don't you think?
- Pagers are good for one thing only
They serve one specific purpose, paging. There's no thought to full integration of the data. Our system puts at your fingertips comprehensive data about your customers. More importantly, working together with FreedSeating, our system becomes smarter and helps you turn tables even faster.
The point of pagers is so your customers can wander around and do things: get out of the overcrowded waiting area, get some drinks, do a bit of shopping, etc. Your customers are happy, but then after 45 minutes realize they've lost their pager. They know they put it down somewhere. Now embarrassed that they've lost your pager, they just pick a different restaurant.
You're bottom line is hit many times with every single lost pager:
- once for the pager that you have to replace (see below)
- once for losing the sale (hopefully, just a single sale, not someone who would've become a repeat customer)
- once for the extra entry in the waiting list (adding to your wait times)
- once for a table that you have to keep empty because you think they're on their way in
Then there's the following scenario. A party of 4 hit 4 distinct restaurants, getting a pager from each. When one flashes, they just leave the other 3 on the nearest flat surface.
Cell phones offer the following benefits:
- No Replacement Fee - You don't have to replace anything if they lose their phone
- Knowledge of Loss - If they decided to eat somewhere else, you now immediately know and can seat the next customer.
- Knowledge of Extension - The party can tell you they need another 10 minutes, allowing you to bump up another party
- Pagers are expensive to replace
Imagine the above two scenarios happening not just once, but many times a month, each month. To protect your initial investment, you keep pouring money into replacement pagers. This monthly payout doesn't add any extra benefit to your investment, but it does add a chunk of change to the pager vendor's wallet.
- Pagers are handled by who knows how many people a day
Ask your customer's what they prefer to handle: their own cell phone or some pager possessing who knows how many germs that has been touched by who knows how many people. The answer is obvious.

No Limit to Capacity:
We won't mention any names, but one of our competitors actually has a form on their website specifically for Mother's Day. "Don't get caught short, preorder you pagers to ensure capacity for Mother's Day." Perhaps we should put up a form that says, "Don't get caught short, replace your pager system for unlimited capacity."
Cell phones have an 80% market penetration. "What about that 20%?" People ask. If you're busy enough to need a paging system, we can safely assume your customers are not in that 20%. However, we'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's say a few of those non-cell phone owners make it into your restaurant, either someone else in their party will have a cell phone or they can be the few people who use your waiting area.

Priority Bumping:
- Have a Priority guest party?
Our system allows you to bump them straight to the top of the list.
- Someone not answering their cell phone?
Bump them to the "No Answer" zone. The system moves them to the bottom of the list. If they do show or call back, bump them back to the top and they'll never know the difference. Although your table turns will notice the difference, since you were able to seat others while waiting.
No problem. Two taps of your finger and the guest is removed from the list.

Automated Waiting List:
Notepad and dry erase pads are sufficient, but not efficient. FreedPaging allows you to enter, and track the following:
- Party Name
- Party Size
- Cell Phone/Pager Number
- Preferred Section/Seat Type (Indoor, Smoking, Booth, etc.)
- Time Preference (Seat now or save as reservation)
